The retentate chamber and the membrane element vibrates horizontally while the patented Vibro™ technology makes the media inside the retentate chamber stationary. The membrane module vibrates vertically while the patented Vibro™ technology makes the media inside the module stationary. The relative vibration of media and membrane creates turbulence on the membrane surface and thereby keeps the fouling layer at a minimum. The turbulence is only created at vertical surfaces. Thus, the energy required to create the turbulence at the membrane surfaces is minimized. Because the Vibro™-I only creates turbulence at the membrane surfaces the need to cool the retentate is reduced and often eliminated which again adds to the energy savings.
The SANI Membranes Free Flow Plate™ Module - HP1- is a modular 2,5 m2 membrane module with integrated housing for full scale MF and UF filtration plants. The Free Flow Plate™ Module is made in polypropylene and all bonding is done with welding. The Free Flow Plate™ Module can be equipped with the membrane of your choice and retrofitted into existing plants or new plants can be design around it. The Free Flow Plate™ Module conforms to FDA material and sanitary standards.
The SANI Membranes Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Element – HPP - is a modular 0,35 m2 membrane element for pilot scale MF and UF filtration. The Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Element is made in polypropylene and all bonding is done with welding. The Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Element can be equipped with the membrane of your choice and fits in the Sani Membranes Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Modules. The Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Elements conforms to FDA material and sanitary standards.
The Sani Membranes Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Module – HPPM - are flexible flow channels for Free Flow Plate™ cross flow filtration. The Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Modules holds 6 or 12 Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Elements for MF or UF filtration. The modules can be equipped with up to 12 different membranes with individual permeate outlets for identifying the optimal membrane for a given application. The modules are designed with several inspection windows, making visual inspection of the membranes possible during filtration. The Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Module is ready for use in the Sani Membranes pilot plants or in a customized pilot setup. The Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Modules conforms to FDA material and sanitary standards.
SANI Membranes MF and UF pilot plants are available as semi-manual or PLC-controlled self-containing units. The pilot plants can be fitted with 2,1 or 4,2 m2 of membrane or customized to your preferred membrane area and configuration. Several membrane types can be tested simultaneously as all the plants have individual permeate outlets for each Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Element (0,35m2 membrane). The membranes can be inspected visually through several windows in the Free Flow Plate™ Pilot Modules during operation. The SANI Membranes pilot plants conforms to FDA material and sanitary standards.
The semi-manual pilot plants must be operated under supervision of a skilled technician adjusting and recording the process parameters manually. The retentate can be temperature controlled through external cooling. Samples of retentate and permeate must be taken manually.
The PLC-controlled pilot plants can be operated 24-7 via flexible and easy programming. The process parameters (pressures, flows, temperatures, energy consumption and frequencies) are automatically recorded and saved for later analysis. The plants can run flow controlled or pressure controlled programs during production and CIP programs for periodic cleaning cycles. All programs are 100% flexible and can be designed for the application at hand and modified during testing. The retentate can be temperature controlled through external cooling. Samples of retentate and permeate must be taken manually.
SANI Membranes can also make a customized pilot plant solution specifically for your application and special needs. Pilot plants can also be customized for filtration with the industrial 2,5m2 Free Flow Plate™ Module – HP1.
